How to Fix Motion Permission Issues on iPhone
On iPhone, the AR experience needs access to your phone's motion sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer) to track how you move your phone and keep the 3D characters anchored in place.
Key Points
- Refresh the page
- Watch for a prompt about "Motion & Orientation" and tap Allow
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap Safari
- Scroll down to find Motion & Orientation Access
- Make sure it's turned on
- Go back to the site and refresh
Helpful Notes
- Characters slide around instead of staying in place
- The AR tracking feels "off" - characters drift or float
- You allowed camera but the experience still doesn't work right
- Option 1: Refresh and re-allow
- Option 2: Check Safari settings
- Android phones grant motion sensor access automatically - no separate permission is needed. This extra step is an iOS-specific privacy requirement introduced in iOS 13.
