What "Supported Devices" Actually Means
The experience checks your phone's graphics capability when you first load the page. If your phone doesn't have enough GPU power, it automatically switches to a simplified mode with pre-set animations you can browse through. This keeps the experience running smoothly instead of crashing or overheating.
Key Points
- A mobile phone (not a tablet, computer, or laptop)
- A rear-facing camera
- A supported browser - Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android
Helpful Notes
- iPhone 8 and newer - full experience with hand tracking
- iPhone 7 and older - may run in simplified mode (no hand tracking)
- Browser: Safari or Chrome for iOS (both work - Chrome on iOS uses Safari's engine)
- iOS 16 or later recommended for the full experience. Older iOS versions may trigger simplified mode.
- Browser: Chrome (required)
- The experience checks your phone's graphics processor to determine compatibility. Phones with capable GPUs get the full experience; phones with older or budget-level GPUs may get a simplified version.
- There is no simple model-number cutoff - it depends on the specific GPU in your phone. If you're unsure, just try it. The site will tell you if your device isn't supported.
- Desktop computers and laptops
- iPads and Android tablets (may partially work but not officially supported)
- Smart TVs, game consoles, or other non-phone devices
- In-app browsers (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, WhatsApp, etc.)
- Firefox, Opera, Edge, and Samsung Internet on mobile
